»Viral video« oziroma viralni video je izraz za video vsebine, ki si jih uporabniki med seboj pošiljajo preko interneta. Največkrat vsebujejo smešne vsebine, ki nas nasmejijo in v nas spodbudijo željo po širjenju videa prijateljem.

Izraz »viral« pa izhaja iz virusa oziroma virusnih okužb. Širjenje viralnih videov je namreč zelo podobno širjenju klasičnemu virusu. Ravno zaradi tega pa se je oprijel ime viralni video.
